Article marketing requires you to create a great resource box in order for you to be successful. And yet every day I see so many resource boxes that, well, suck.

Sometimes it is helpful to talk about how not to do something in order to show you how to do it well. So here is a list of strategies you can undertake to create a resource box that sucks.

  1. Make the resource box all about you - Tell the reader about all your degrees and achievements, honors, etc. Make a strong effort to convince the reader that you are the expert.

  2. Make the resource box almost as long as the article - Believe it or not, I have seen more than one resource box that was almost as long as the article. In fact, I’ve seen some that are actually longer than the article.

  3. Fail to include any links to your website or blog - Some writers will tell you all about their many accomplishments and even invite you to their website, and then include no links back to the web site.

  4. Send the reader to a website that is not there - Imagine the frustration of the reader who clicks on a link for more information only to find an error message.

  5. Fail to ask the reader to do anything - Just tell the reader all about you and do not include a call to action for the reader to visit your website or join your list.

  6. Rush through creating the resource box - Just throw something up there to get it done. Pay no attention to the fact that the resource box is the most important piece of real estate in your article.

You could pretty much do the opposite of all the “anti-tips” above and come up with a great resource box for your article.

So are you now ready to create a great resource box and discover all the many secrets of great article marketing? Then I invite you to visit http://www.ArticleWritingandMarketingSecrets.com
