Whether we worry about time, or timing, it doesn’t matter. They both belong to God. To worry excessively about how our future might work out is as futile as it is disobedient.
Let’s not dwell on what kind of people we might be someday, but rather, let’s live for Christ, in Christ today. It’s easy to imagine ourselves as something impressive sometime later, but it is better to obey the Lord right now. So it goes that God’s grace always requires reality-based action, which will continue to seem excessively difficult to us as long as we are impressed with imaginary greatness.

Through the years I’ve seen versions of Household Rules printed on posters, mugs and the like. You may know it, here are some of the words:
· If you get it out, put it up.
· If you sleep on it, make it up.
· If you wear it, hang it up.
· If you drop it, pick it up.
· If you dirty it, wash it.
· If you open it, close it.
· If you turn it on, turn it off.

As human nature goes we often wonder what we are, who we are and what our place is in the Universe. It would be totally egocentric to think that we are alone in the universe and we are the center of it all. We would be no better than when they thought the world was flat and the Sun orbited the Earth. So where do we fit in? Better yet where do we exist?

Journaling is well known to have more than a few meditative effects on people keeping them. There is something about writing out your thoughts, be they good or bad, that helps.
Journaling has been around forever. It is simply the act of keeping a record of events over time. Historically, it has been a written record although some tout the use of computers for it these days. Personally, I find there is something more satisfying and peaceful about writing a journal than staring at a computer screen and typing one in. To each there own, as the saying goes.

Do you feel like you always have too much on your plate? Like your day needs to be 48 hours because: your boss requested that you walk his dog, your wife needs your sheets changed, and you still need to edit your kid’s album on Photoshop?

Sure, it seems simple. But choosing which to prioritize is not. The trick is to have the willpower to drop whatever is not urgent and important in your day. So how do you do the choosing?

Aligning ourselves with the theory that the nature of perception causes stress raises many questions and, also, great hope. If the foundation of the stressors in our lives is created by our own mind’s ability to put us into motion, then perhaps we have enough power to stop the creation or, at least, alter it. And so, the next natural question is “How?”

In his book The 10 Natural Laws of Successful Life and Time Management, author Hyrum Smith introduces the personal productivity pyramid - a tool for making sure that our daily to-do lists are clear reflections of our governing values and long-range goals.
1. Governing Values
At the base of the pyramid are our governing values - those things we choose to govern or guide our lives by. Here are some questions to help you identify and clarify yours:
· What inspires you?
· What makes your life worth living?
· What would you miss most if you were to lose it?

The 80/20 Principle and Time Revolution
Most of what we do is of low value.
Some small fragments of our time are much more valuable than all the rest.
If we can do anything about this, we should do something radical.
If we make good use of only 20 percent of our time, there is no shortage of it!
The point is not to manage your time better!
You need to transform how you spend your time and you probably need to change the way you think about time itself. Time management is about the selling of “time managers.” Time management aims to fit a quart into a pint jar, it is about speeding up.
