As soon as Isaiah acknowledged his sin, he was forgiven, and within minutes he received a purpose for his life’s work. Isaiah had an amazing confrontation with the living God in the Temple in Jerusalem on the occasion of the death of King Uzziah. He came into the Temple sad, confused, bewildered, upset – perhaps even perplexed.
The best place to go when experiencing such emotions is The House of God, and come into the presence of God. Isaiah knew where to go and what to do. He was no crank.
His guilt was dealt with, in a few seconds.

Is time management or the lack of effective time management training getting the best of you? Are you:
- Missing target or due dates?
- Unable to get motivated to get things done?
- Finding less and less time to spend with family or even yourself?
- Working longer and harder?
-
- Having problems making decisions because of no time?
- Feeling stressed out, frustrated and just tired of the rat race of life?
So as you look above to any of these questions, is time management the real problem or possibly just a symptom of a greater problem? If time management is a symptom instead of a problem, then what is the real problem?

“The ear,” said jazz great Duke Ellington, “is the most essential instrument in the world.”
When I was doing the executive coaching program at Royal Roads University back in 2002, I remember Marj Busse introducing us to her favourite acronym – WAIT - “Why Am I Talking.” Now, for a Presbyterian preacher and former university dean and professor, that was a powerful challenge. It inspired me to start thinking about the skill of listening in a whole new way. What we can learn and provoke by considerate listening is crucial to the central task of leadership – doing your work through other people.

Because of our unique life’s experiences everyone has certain prejudices and biases, both good and bad, that we content with. The question is not whether a great leader-coach has prejudices and biases, but how they manage their biases. These biases can pose an enormous obstacle for a leader-coach when they are asked to coach someone who for whatever reason fits into a category that the particular coach has a potential negative bias against. As the workforce has become more diverse, and as companies become more international in nature, leaders may be more challenged in handling diversity related issues effectively. More and more leaders will be needed to coach those who have backgrounds and experiences drastically different from their own. When coaching those of different cultural backgrounds coaches may be totally unaware of the emotional reactions that may occur subconsciously because of the cultural differences and the “different visions of life” that result from those different cultural experiences (Goldsmith & Lyons 2006, p. 133). The potential downside of not being able to recognize and deal with resulting biases can have huge negative consequences to organizations.

How you would like to be used in the healing of a lame man who had never ever walked and then have the authorities throw you into prison as a consequence? That has happened, and many are being imprisoned in these present days for similar reasons - for having real living vibrant faith.
In Acts Chapters 3 and 4, in the New Testament part of the Bible, Peter and John heal that lame man in the Name of Jesus Christ and preach that Jesus is Risen from the dead. They are imprisoned, put on trial, threatened, refuse to compromise their calling in Christ, and are released and return to the waiting Fellowship, where all those present launch out in prayer.

I was a born a NY Yankee fan, so it stands to reason that my interest in America’s favorite past time – baseball – rises significantly every September. I watch games played against the Red Sox, regularly check the standings, and worry about A-Rod, Jeter and the entire pitching staff. During a recent game, my mind wandered into leadership territory, and it occurred to me that we could learn a lot about leadership through baseball, and the pitchers in particular.

As a human being, you will probably have been given a problem to solve. This does not mean you have to be in school – many problems come from our experiences in daily life. What you probably didn’t know are the steps you have to go through to solve problems. Read on and find out what they are.
The first part is when your mind absorbs as much information about the problem as you can scrounge around for. This means you take in not just valid information but plenty of misinformation as well.

Today when we think of leadership we think of corporate Chief Executive Officers, talking heads on political talk shows and management gurus. There was an era when leadership meant men living and dying for their beliefs. While this happens occasionally today – professional military people, firefighters, law enforcement offices and a few other rare instances. During the era of the American Civil War, Americans from the North and the South routinely died for their causes. The men who led them are after one hundred forty five years still examples for us today.

Our loving gracious living God does not want us to get stuck, and some of us do at times and we need a little help. Sometimes, we need a lot of help!
This article may just help someone who feels he is getting stuck on his spiritual journey.
When we read Acts Chapter 19 in the New Testament, we read of Paul returning to Ephesus on the west coast of Turkey. He meets some disciples and joins them, but he is not with them long, when he notices something missing. There is a dimension absent.
